POLL RESULTS: Your Choice For Solon School Board Is...

First the caveat: This poll is in no way scientific, and should not be considered that way.

But Solon Patch has been asking our readers for the last few days to tell us who they would pick for the Solon School Board vacancy if they had the choice. The seat, we remind you, has been vacant late last month.

(As of 8:30 p.m. Wednesday) and our readers made a clear choice: Robert Paulson, who collected 283 of 471 votes.

Paulson was the runner up in the 2011 election, coming in fourth to the three winners. He's a former mayor of Solon as well.

The runners up in our poll were John Heckman (83 votes) and Bruce Rutsky (70 votes).

There are 11 candidates in all. The candidate list is:

• Chris Bryant: Former teacher, parent of Solon student, .
• Adrienne B. Gottlieb: former school board trustee in Indiana
• Richard A. F. Mendelsohn: Attorney, past candidate for mayor
• Ken Myers: Attorney, parent of a Solon student, .
• John N. Heckman: Accountant, parent of Solon students,
• Bruce S. Rutsky: Attorney and judge, parent of Solon students
• Richard C. Perry: Insurance agent, parent of Solon students, ran for Solon School Board before
• Robert A. Paulson: Former mayor of Solon,
• Amy Sonia Richards: Parent of Solon students
  
• Scott H. Schooler: Attorney, worked for other school districts
