Parkside Elementary Kicks Off Read-A-Thon

Students at Parkside had guests from around the community reading to them to mark the start of Read-A-Thon.

Students at Parkside Elementary School are going to be having fun reading for the next two weeks to raise money for school activities.

The school kicked off the Read-A-Thon on Oct. 15 by having some special guest readers from around the community reading to classes to share their love of the written word with the students.

Readers included Mayor Susan Drucker, Fire Chief Bill Shaw, Solon Superintendent Joe Regano, some Solon football stars and cheerleaders and Patch Local Editor Chris Mazzolini.
