This ensemble has received nine Down Beat Magazine Student Music Awards.

Solon High School’s Show Choir Music in Motion will also give a sneak preview of its 2013 competition show.

Music in Motion is under the direction of Gary Lewis. Mr. Lewis is the vocal director for Solon High School. Before teaching in Solon, Mr. Lewis sang professionally with Disney’s acclaimed vocal ensemble, The Voices of Liberty.

"Contemporary A Cappella has hit the main stream of popular culture," Lewis said. "Afro Blue represents all that is right in this exploding genre."
