How To Become Solon's Next School Board Member

Do you want to replace Dorothy Seibert on the Solon School board? Here's how to get your name in the running.

Now that her post on the , the other board members have to find her replacement.

Here's how they are going to do that:

30-Day Deadline: The law says the school board has 30 days to vote on a replacement. If the board fails to vote by then, the probate court will pick the successor.

10-Day Wait: The board cannot vote on a replacement for 10 days, so they will use that time to publicize the vacancy and solicit nominations from residents interested in holding the seat.

How to Apply: Interested in the job? Send a letter of intent along with a resume to the Solon Board of Education c/o Superintendent Joseph Regano no later than noon on May 11. Candidates are welcome to submit their application materials by mail to 33800 Inwood Road, Solon, Ohio 44139; by e-mail to jregano@solonboe.org; or by fax to (440) 248-7665.
