"When we placed our home on the market in late February, we had no idea when it would sell. We had heard so many stories about homes taking years to sell," Seibert wrote in her letter. "Due to the excellence of the schools and the city and our wonderful neighborhood, the house sold immediately."

Seibert and her husband, Ned, have owned a condo in Florida for some time and ultimately planned to retire there. That process accelerated for a variety of reasons.

"So we will be in Florida figuring out the next season of our life together," she wrote.

Seibert thanked Superintendent Joe Regano, her fellow board members and the residents for making Solon Schools the best they can be.

"It has been a joy to work with all of the Board members who have served with me over the years," Mrs. Seibert wrote. "Each Board member has kept the best interest of students as their true North. Mr. Regano's steady leadership and the strong administrative team he has attracted and mentored are beyond outstanding. The teachers and staff of Solon City Schools are exemplary, working to bring out the best in every child every day.

"Being part of the Board/Administration/Staff/City/Citizen team has been such an important part of my life. I will truly miss every aspect of that relationship and I will miss the wonderful people supporting our children in Solon Schools."
