Comets For the Cure: Solon Sports Unite To Support Cancer Research

Next week, Solon High will use school spirit and sports to raise money for breast cancer research.

Solon High will add pink to its school colors next week.

The school will unite behind school spirit and sports next week for "Comets For the Cure," an effort to raise awareness and money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the leading foundation in the fight against breast cancer.

Students will be selling pink T-shirt with the "Comets for the Cure" logo on them. The $15 shirts will gain students admittance into four Solon home games that will feature pink- and cure-themed entertainment.

School officials love that idea, but thought it would be a good idea to do expand it school wide and unite all of the students and athletes in a good cause.
