Wine, Bocce and Maseratis Before Planning Commission Tonight

The Solon Planning Commission has a full agenda for its 7:30 p.m. meeting at City Hall.

Here's a quick run-through of some noteworthy items on the agenda:

• will have another hearing before the commission on a number of zoning variances. The owners plan to turn a historical building at 33325 Bainbridge Road into a wine bar, with an outdoor patio and bocce court.
• Davis Automotive wants build an addition to its existing dealership at 6137 Kruse Drive. The addition is intended to provide a showroom for Maserati sales, and another addition for service area space is proposed at the east end of the building.
• The Solon VFW Post 1863 at 5340 Melbury Avenue wants to build bocce courts of its own.
• The commission will also talk again about the proposed discussed at the last meeting. They are expected to vote and send it up to city council.
