What's Your Idea for a State Law? Tell Rep. Anielski

"There Ought To Be A Law" contest designed to engage and gather constituent ideas

Do you have a great idea you think should become a law in Ohio? Tell Ohio Rep. Marlene Anielski, and it just may happen.

Anielski, a Walton Hills Republican who represents Solon, has created a "There Ought To Be A Law" contest to try to engage the residents in her district and spur some new ideas.

“I thought this would be a great opportunity to get the constituents of the 17th House District directly engaged with what is happening in Columbus,” Anielski said. “I look forward to reviewing the proposals that are submitted.”

Only district residents are eligible. All ideas must be submitted by Sept. 30

The winner of the contest will have lunch with Anielski and get a flag that had flown over the Statehouse. The winning idea may be turned into a bill and introduced in the 2011 fall legislative session. And if that winning bill happens to be yours, you could have a chance to testify on it during committee hearings.
