No worries, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections provides an easy way to vote absentee by mail.

How Do I Vote By Mail?

First,Β download the formΒ to apply for an absentee ballot. A .pdf file of the form is also attached to this post.

You can pick up the form and drop the completed application off at the board of elections office, located at 2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115. They can be reached by phone at 216-443-3200 if you have any questions. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What's the deadline?

Mail-in applications must be received by noon the Saturday prior to the election and cannot be faxed. For the Nov. 8 election, the applications must be received by Nov. 5.

According to Ohio law, absentee voting begins 35 days before an election. In the case of the Nov. 8 general election, absentee voting begins Oct. 4. The final day of absentee voting is the Monday before the close of business prior to election day (Nov. 7).
