Unopposed: No One Will Challenge Solon City Council Incumbents

Council members Rick Bell, Toni Richmond, Nancy Meany and Bill Russo will run unopposed

Four members of Solon City Council will have an easy road to win back their seats this November.

That's because no one filed to run against any of them.

Ward 1 Councilman Rick Bell, Ward 3 Councilwoman Toni Richmond, Ward 5 Councilwoman Nancy Meany and Ward 7 Councilman are all running unopposed.

That means no primary will be necessary and that all of the candidates will run unopposed in November.Β

Bell, Richmond and Meany were all appointed to their seats. Bell joined council after Susan Drucker was elected as mayor. Richmond replaced former councilman John Scott in 2010 and Meany replaced Lon Stolarsky after he was appointed as city prosecutor.
