Toni Richmond Resigning from Solon City Council
Richmond cites health reasons for her decision.
Ward 3 Councilwoman Toni Richmond is stepping down in November, reports The Plain Dealer.
Richmond said she made the decision because of her upcoming knee replacement surgery on both knees, according to The Plain Dealer.
"I tried to get some relief through physical therapy, but unfortunately my condition was too deteriorated and didn't do anything in terms of alleviating my pain," Richmond, 57, told city council at the Monday, Sept. 16 meeting.
