Solon Council Quick Takes: No Deer or Rental Discussions

The city decided to pass on discussing the most contentious issues because one of the city councilmen was absent

Solon City Council met Monday for a regular meeting. Here are the big news items from the meeting:

  • The City Council declined to discuss or move forward on and . Councilman Ed Kraus said that the city council did not want to discuss those important issues because Councilman Bill Russo was absent from the meeting.
  • The city council approved an ordinance that will in Solon's contractor registration requirements.
  • The council also voted to approve putting a y for the purchase of safety and service vehicle on the ballot in November. Only Councilman Bill Mooney voted against it because he wants to find other ways to pay for those vehicle purchases.
  • City council will only have one meeting in July. The meeting scheduled for July 4 was cancelled because of the holiday.
