Solon Awards Traffic Signal Improvements Contract

Project will include replacing or upgrading 46 traffic lights across the city.

Solon City Council voted earlier this week to award Perram Electric the contract for the city-wide traffic signal improvement project.

Perram's bid was nearly $700,000 lower than the closest competitor, Miller Cable.

In total, the project will cost nearly $7.2 million, however, because of federal grants and other funding sources, the city will be responsible for $1.2 million.
