Solon City Council To Move On Deer Culling, Solar Center Tonight

The city council meets at 7:30 p.m. tonight at City Hall

The Solon City Council meets tonight at and will vote on items related to deer culling and the redevelopment of the Solar Center.

City council will:

  • Vote to authorize a contract with David Hromco to manage the city's deer culling program, which will begin soon.
  • Decide on a contract with Smokin-T for deer meat processing. The safety committee recommended approval.
  • Consider a new development agreement with Echo Development concerning development of the until-now stagnant redevelopment of the Solar Center. The project includes a new Giant Eagle. The project has been in limbo because of a lawsuit, but the project is now moving forward again.

The finance committee will hold its meeting at 6 p.m. The city council caucus will follow afterward at 7 p.m. and the regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.
