Agenda items include:

  • Police Chief Chris Viland will review the with the committee.
  • Solon is working to improve traffic signals in the city. The company consulting with the city on the project, URS Corporation, is developing design plans, which include rebuilding some intersections while others are being upgraded and connected to a centrally controlled traffic system. The committee will consider a change order for the project that would cost an additional $63,227, bringing the total contract to $451,872 because of a design change.
  • The plans to begin renovating its historic building – the former Pioneer Memorial Church building at the corner of SOM Center and Bainbridge roads. The historical society will brief the city, which owns the building, on its plans on how the city can contribute to the project.
