No Progress on Marc's Redesign, Expansion
City officials have not received an application for building permits for the project to improve and expand Marc's in Solon, reports the Solon Times.
There has been no further activity on plans to expand and improve the look of Marc's in the SOM Centre Plaza, reports the Solon Times.
City officials told the newspaper that they have not received any building permit applications from the owner of the plaza. Approval for the project was granted by city council in September.
At the time, Marc's representatives said the project would happen as soon as possible.

Marc's hopes to build a 4,400-square-foot addition onto the back of the store and also add on another 8,300 square feet by expanding into the Pet Supplies Plus location next door. Pet Supplies Plus is moving to Solon Village at the corner of SOM Center and Aurora roads.
The exterior renovations at Marc's include facing the building -- both Marc's and storefronts to the south -- with a red brick to bring that part of the building into better symmetry with Sears on the north end of the plaza.
