New Property Values Mailed By Cuyahoga County

Cuyahoga County mailed new tax values for properties to homeowners on July 25.

Solon homeowners, keep a close eye on your mailbox. You should soon receive information from Cuyahoga County informing you of your home's new tax value.

Cuyahoga County mailed the new tax values to owners of more than 500,000 parcels in the county, the Plain Dealer reported on July 25.

Also, the Officer of the Auditor has posted the proposed values online. You can find your new, proposed value here.

Solon home values dropped 3 percent on average in the 2012 county-wide property re-appraisal.

Yes, values dropped, but Solon's homes kept their values better than most cities in Cuyahoga County, where values dropped by an average of 9 percent.

Only a handful of communities saw home values increase, including nearby Chagrin Falls.

The largest drop was an average 33 percent plunge in Maple Heights.
