New Home Values: Solon Home Values Fall Slightly

Tentative residential property values released by the Cuyahoga County Auditor shows that home values in Solon fell, but not as much as values in most of the county.

Solon home values dropped 3 percent in the 2012 county-wide property re-appraisal, according to the Plain Dealer.

Yes, values dropped, but Solon's homes kept their values better than most cities in Cuyahoga County, where values dropped by an average of 9 percent.

Only a handful of communities saw home values increase, including nearby Chagrin Falls.

The largest drop was an average 33 percent plunge in Maple Heights.

Remember, these are only preliminary averages. The Plain Dealer says that the state will review the numbers. Eventually, the county auditor's office will mail out tentative home values to property owners.
