Plans for Curbside Express would need to be approved by the city's safety committee and then the full city council because the plans require changes to the official project site plan.

In a memo, Traffic Engineer Kevin Westbrooks said he does not have a problem with these plans so long as Giant Eagle adheres to the operations schedule, namely to limit flow to three orders every 30 minutes, to avoid congestion in front of the store. The fire department will also need to examine the plan to make sure it doesn't interfere with any emergency situations.

Giant Eagle wants to create three parallel parking spaces in front of the store where customers will come to pick up their groceries.
