james but if you did all of that, he would then look exactly like sherrod brown
Victor Mooney July 16, 2012 at 09:12 pm
Anyone who even "thinks" himself intelligent will vote against Brown. Republicans aren`t Union Busting---the Unions are busting themselves---thier policies and practices are more than they can swim with, and they are drowning in their own red ink.
Tom, Brown has repeatedly stated, he is proud of the vote for O-blamo-Care and would gladly do it agqain! The Heritage Foundation rates him at 2% in voting according to his sworn oath to uphold the Constitution---the lowest ever recorded for a U. S. Senator. Thank you for your kind attention!
James Thomas July 16, 2012 at 09:12 pm
James,
but he still wouldn't Be Sherrod Brown and that would make all the difference.
Adam C. Miller July 16, 2012 at 09:21 pm
Sherrod Brown has been running for office since Nixon was President... He's part of the problem! Let's bring in some young blood... I choose the Marine!!!
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 12:20 am
And do you possess the same attitude towards ANY AND ALL politicians who've been running for decades?
Or do you play this card only when it involves a Democrat? And the fact that Mandel is a Marine, which quite a few who know him personally think he's despicable playing the Marine card when he wasn't that well thought-of AND running the campaign he has been. I'll be giving my vote to another candidate who is neither R or D.

James T --
Whether you like Dennis! or not, at least the guy stands up for his constituents, and always has. Plus, he's NEVER been afraid to call out his own party. Unlike everyone else who tows the party line. You do not have to like him because he's a liberal, but I do not doubt you wouldn't agree that it would be nice if we have more politicians like Dennis! who DO remember who they work for -- the people who elected him -- this country wouldn't be in the position it is -- and has been -- for many, many years!
John Meola July 17, 2012 at 12:46 am
No offense, but this guy looks like he was dropped on his head as a kid.
tom m July 17, 2012 at 01:01 am
its funny you say that ......have you ever looked in the mirror
Adam C. Miller July 17, 2012 at 01:50 am
ANY AND ALL
Adam C. Miller July 17, 2012 at 01:51 am
Cute comment John!

SB5 / Issue 2.
Republican laws that attempted to bust unions. Sorry you don't like being associated with that sort of thing, but that's what the republicans tried to do.

If Dennis Kucinich stayed true to his word and the people he represented, then tell why he flip-flopped on the issue of abortion? I guess it was to see which way the wind was blowing...huh.
Evan Hammersmith July 17, 2012 at 10:31 am
what have public employee unions done in the past 20 years that's good for everyone? Notably the teachers unions? Nothing in my estimation.
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 10:54 am
"Flip-flopped"?
Please cite substantiated proof, please. And you might want to stop using words you don't know the meaning of, too. I've talked to Dennis! many, many times and while I don't agree with him on many of his beliefs, he is true to his word. Which is why people like you and James T. should only be commenting on stuff you actually have a clue about.
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 10:55 am
"have you ever looked in the mirror"
Coming from the right-wing loser who doesn't have the sack to use an actual last name OR post a picture. Get back to re-aligning your cement blocks on your double-wide, fool.
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 10:56 am
"Nothing"
Nothing perfectly describes what you know about a subject you're commenting on. Have another swig of the kool-aid, wingnut.

And again...Troy McClure/Tom Tucker... IS BACK with his insults and a new alias.
Why don't you just go away because...U.R.Wrong
Evan Hammersmith July 17, 2012 at 12:58 pm
I.M, The name calling probably makes you feel good, but you didn't answer the question. Enlighten us since we're so uneducated.
James Thomas July 17, 2012 at 01:14 pm
Evan,
Since I. M. sounds a lot like Jack Kelly the name calling is all he has. As for "education" just what is your level I. M.? I have a Masters Degree from Kent State.
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 01:27 pm
James,
How about backing up your accusations. Prove who these people you claim they are. I've noticed that's your "defense" when you're being ripped a new one...that someone must be someone else. Waahhh. Quick....go whining to the moderators and start flagging away at posts you don't like. You don't know who I am from the next person, and it only shows your desperation and that you're a bigger whiner. EVAN -- Truth hurts. It's not name-calling when it's fact. You're a wingnut spewing partisan talking points. You and James T can meet up for some warm milk and cry on each other shoulders. Whiners.
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 01:29 pm
"And again...Troy McClure/Tom Tucker... IS BACK"
Hey look -- it's the James Thomas-defense. Accuse people of being other people without being able to back it up. And that's pretty funny coming from someone else who is a little "kitty cat" and hides behind a first-name only. The kitchen is calling -- go there -- until you can start proving who people are.
I.M. Wright July 17, 2012 at 01:30 pm
No one is impressed with your "Masters Degree" James.
You're the poster child for someone who has a degree (book smart) but lack common sense. I'll leave you alone -- I realize Glenn Beck is on.
Evan Hammersmith July 17, 2012 at 01:34 pm
I.M, Seriously, you've yet to tell me how public employee unions have helped anyone other than democratic candidates for office. Union pensions are breaking the budgets, and I've never heard a cogent argument why they can't phase out pensions and move to a 401K system like the rest of us. Tell me where I'm wrong. Calling me a wingnut is fine. I'm perfectly comfortable being a conservative, and I don't find it insulting. You have not answered my question. You seem to be spiking a football on a touchdown you haven't scored.
James Thomas July 17, 2012 at 01:36 pm
I.M./Jack/Tom/Troy,
your words, demeanor and attitude all betray you. We, the posters on Patch see you for what you are and recognise you in all your incarnations. You think you can fool all the people all of the time but you shine out like a beacon of falsehood whenever you post. For better or for worse there is no one on Patch as disagreeable as I. M. Wright/Troy/Tom/James/Jack Kelly.
Earl Elevant July 17, 2012 at 02:30 pm
Simple Evan.
Public unions have given some of the crappiest jobs on the planet enough pay and benefits that they still attract enough applicants so that you can rest assured the people who show up to put out your fires, teach your kids, save your grandmother's life, and arrest the guy trying to break into your house are highly qualified and capable to do their jobs. All of these things were done through collective bargaining with the unions and management coming together and hashing out a fair deal that works for both parties. That's good for everyone.
Evan Hammersmith July 17, 2012 at 02:36 pm
Earl, lots of jobs out there are crappy, and if you pay someone enough, they'll do the job. I have no issue with that. It's called the free market. My issue is and always has been about pensions. They're unsustainable, and unions have no solution other than funnel contributions to politicians who will kick the can down the road. California is going out of business partly due to this problem.
Adam C. Miller July 17, 2012 at 03:26 pm
We have some very mature people on this thread... no wonder kids act the way they do!
Earl Elevant July 18, 2012 at 03:21 pm
Pensions are part of the pay and benefits that attract the best candidates for the jobs.
That's part of the free market you're talking about. Take pensions away and you're on the road to making some of the most important jobs in our society "crappy" by your standards--and thereby attracting less than the best candidates. After all, if they could work for the same pay and benefits as someone who sits around in an air conditioned office all day with much less stress, why would they volunteer to put their lives on the line on a daily basis, dealing with other people's crap? The answer is the pay and benefits--pensions included.
James Murphy July 18, 2012 at 03:30 pm
did anyone else catch this >>>>>>
I.M. Wright 6:55 am on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 Coming from the right-wing loser who doesn't have the sack to use an actual last name ARE WE TO BELIEVE THAT HIS NAME REALLY IS IM WRIGHT
Evan Hammersmith July 18, 2012 at 06:25 pm
Earl, you're not even close to being convincing. If someone doubled my salary and dropped my health insurance and 401K matching, It wouldnt make my job more crappy and attract lesser candidates. It's no different for any line of work. The pensions are not sustainable. The double dipping by govt workers is not sustainable. I realize you're a schill for unions, but you need to work in the private sector for a little while and realize it's not all that different. Cops put the lives on the lines, but so do airline pilots, high rise window washers, and crab fishermen. Lots of jobs have risk, and pensions are not the only way to attract good candidates. Think for yourself for once instead of reading from the union script.
