Historic Lynch House For Sale

City Council is seeking a buyer to purchase and move the historic Lynch House from its location on Bainbridge Road.

Do you want to buy a hundred-year-old home that needs lots of repairs? Oh, and you'll need to move it from its current location too.

If that's the deal for you, call Solon City Hall.

City Council voted this week to put the historic Lynch House up for sale. The plan is to only sell the home itself, not the Bainbridge Road land it sits on, so the buyer would be moving the home.

The assessment showed that the three historic buildings, all owned by the city of Solon show that they need roughly $700,000 worth of building code and handicap accessibility repairs.

Right now, only one of the structures, The Solon Historical Society building, is occupied and in use. The other two are historic homes, the Bull and Lynch houses, and are not being used right now.

The plan is for the historical society to continue to use its main building in the old church and to turn the Bull House into a museum.
