'Healthy Solon' Talks Nutrition on Thursday

The next 'Healthy Solon' class offered by the Cleveland Clinic and the city of Solon is this Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Solon Community Center.

The nine-week enters its third week Thursday with a trip to a virtual grocery store.

Healthy Solon is a collaboration between the city of Solon and the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Daniel Sullivan, director of the Cleveland Clinic's , talked to Solon Patch about the program and provided details on what the second week of programming has to offer:

  • The program kicks off Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. at . The weekly programs will be Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. through March 15.
  • Sullivan said this week's class is a talk about nutrition. He said that the discussion will be about the grocery store and its layout. "Experts recommend that you not walk down the aisles at all, and avoid the processed foods in the middle of the store," Sullivan said.
