'Healthy Solon' Begins Wednesday With Health Fair

Cleveland Clinic's Dr. Daniel Sullivan talks about the first week of programming for the Healthy Solon Wellness Experience

The nine-week begins with a health fair this Wednesday.

Healthy Solon is a collaboration between the city of Solon and the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Daniel Sullivan, director of the Cleveland Clinic's , talked to Solon Patch about the program and provided details on what the first program has to offer:

  • The program kicks off Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. at . The weekly programs for the next eight weeks will be Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • The program is free and open to residents 18 and older. To register, send an email to healthysolon@ccf.org with the subject line β€œWellness Experience Program.”
  • Wednesday's opening event will feature a health fair that includes health screenings, including blood pressure checks and other tests. It will also include information on quitting smoking.
  • Sullivan said he will be giving a talk called "What Are Your Numbers?" The talk will include what health-related numbers are important to know, and will provide a good base of knowledge for the rest of the wellness experience.
