Former Solon Official Sentenced Soon in Corruption Case

Dominic Bisesi, the former Solon construction manager pleaded guilty to theft last month and is expected to be sentenced Oct. 28, according to the Sun News.

Solon's former construction manager taken down in a corruption probe is expected to be sentenced later this month, according to the Sun News.

Dominic Bisesi, 47, pleaded guilty Sept. 30 to the charge of theft in office and filing false income tax returns. Both charges are felonies.

Bisesi is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 28. He has already been ordered to pay the city $84,000 in restitution. That's how much Bisesi received in bribes toΒ  steer cement contracts to companies, according to the Sun News.

Bisesi resigned from his job in Solon in February 2008 after 22 years with the city. His resignation followed the city's announcement of a special audit to look into contracts and inspection services after they found irregularities, most especially in a contract for work on Cochran Road in 2007.
