City Council Approves Grant To Help Rehab Solon Road Building

Owners of a building at 30455 Solon Road will receive a $70,000 grant to improve an old building and bring jobs to Solon.

Owners of a building at 30455 Solon Road will receive a $70,000 grant from the city to rehab an old building in an effort to revive an aging building and bring jobs to Solon.

approved the Growth and Revitalization Icentive Program grant on Monday. The money will help 30455 Solon Road LLC update the building, a project estimated to cost nearly $2.1 million. The company is based in Streetsboro and it's president is Jeff Martin.

The building is currently vacant and had been vandalized. The goal is to provide office space for a new business tenant in the city.

Improvements to the building include creation of new office space and renovation of existing office space, a roof replacement, replacement of doors and windows, lighting and a new entrance.
