Zack Reed Released From Solon Jail Saturday

The Cleveland city councilman finished his ten-day sentence over the weekend.

After spending the previous ten days in Solon Jail, Cleveland City Councilman Zachary Reed was released on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Reed was arrested for his third drunken driving incident in March and sentenced to 180 days in jail in August, but most of his sentence was suspended and deferred, according to our partners at News Channel 5.

On Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at around 8 a.m. Reed turned himself in to the Solon Jail based on orders issued by the Cleveland Municipal Court.

"It is not unusual for the City of Solon to house prisoners in unique circumstances based on security needs or other concerns of the municipality involved," according to a media release by the Solon Police Department.
