Woman Charged With Punching Daughter While She Held Baby

A woman was arrested by the Solon Police Department for domestic violence after she got in a fight with her daughter in front of Giant Eagle.Β 

According to police, Alicia Dodson, 44, of Bedford, was driving her 17-year-old daughter to work at the grocery store when the two began to argue. Also in the car was the daughter's 19-month-old baby.Β 

Police say they continued fighting in front of the store, which led the teen's mother to kick her daughter out of the house and push her down.Β

Police say Dodson then grabbed the baby from the car and gave the child to her daughter before punching her in the head.

Dodson was charged with domestic violence. Solon police say Dodson is being held without bond pending her arraignment, and will be unable to be near her daughter when she is released because of a temporary protection order.
