The information in this report is from the Solon Police Department.

A Solon man and sports memorabilia afficionado told police he had more than $6,000 worth of trading cards, jersies, autographs and other items stolen in a burglary on Feb. 4.

The 62-year-old man told he had returned to his Cannon Road from a sports card show in Willoughby at about 3:15 p.m. and decided to take his dog for a walk. He had two tubs of memorabilia in the trunk of his Cadillac. He left the trunk and his garage open.

The man returned at about 3:38 p.m. and the trunks were gone.

The man's wife was home, and she said she saw a man, about 5-feet, 10-inches tall with dark hair walk up the driveway and enter the garage. She said she lost track of the man after that, but later left and drove around the neighborhood looking for the man.

Police, including the dog Stryker, also searched for the suspect but did not find anyone.
