Thieves Take $10K in Equipment from Construction Company: Police Blotter

A theft was reported to Solon police from A W Farrell & Sons, a construction company, on Solon Industrial Parkway around 9:45 a.m. on May 21. They reported nearly $10,000 of safety stand equipment had been stolen from their property behind the building.
Shopping spree fraud: A 52-year-old Solon woman told police she got a call from a department store on May 20 about purchases "she" made in California, racking up $5,300 in fraudulent charges.
Cell phone theft: A 50-year-old employee of Emarald Ridge told police his Android phone was stolen while at work, removed from the nurses desk by a co-worker on May 23. A 20-year-old Maple Heights man was arrested for the theft.
Not your pay pal: A 62-year-old Derby Downs Drive woman told police on May 24 someone opened a PayPal account in her name, spending $3,000 in airline tickets.
Who took out the lights: On May 25 someone stole $7,500 in lights and a transformer from Signature of Solon Homeowners Association. There are no suspects.
Not the credit card: On May 26 a Twinsburg woman told police someone stole her credit card from the Solon Community Center on around May 1 using multiple accounts to make unknown charges.
