Thieves Break Into Solon Business and Steal Safe

The safe taken from Tri-County Electric contained $9,000 in cash, the corporate books and titles to all the company's cars

Solon detectives are investigating a June 18 break-in at Tri-County Electric on Aurora Road resulting in the theft of the company's safe.

The thieves had some knowledge of the company because they used the proper access code to get into the building. But they did break into the office and take the company safe, which contained $9,000 in cash, the company's financial books and the titles to all the company cars.

The break-in occured sometime overnight June 18 and was reported the next morning. Detectives are investigating.
