Thief Goes On Shopping Spree With Solon Man's Credit Card

A 76-year-old Solon man had his credit cards stolen by an unknown thief, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of charges being applied to his account, according to the .

The man told police that he received a phone call from his bank's fraud division alerting him of the suspicious charges, which totaled more than $5,600.

THe charges were made locally, with about $2,200 being spent at Best Buy in Mentor and about $3,400 worth of charges from HHGregg in Mentor and Parma.

The man said he had no idea how his two credit cards were stolen.
