Suspected Thief Goes on Home Depot Shopping Spree

The following was obtained from a Solon police report dated Feb. 18. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Feb. 18 at 1:26 p.m., an All Phase Construction employee alerted Solon police after someone illegally charged over $6,700 on the company's Home Depot credit card.

According to Solon Police Lt. Bruce Felton, detectives are investigating the alleged felony theft and have a suspect in the case.

It appears the suspected thief acquired the credit card account number and purchased 73 items at a Home Depot in Cleveland in early January, said Felton.

The suspect is also under investigation by another law enforcement agency for similar criminal offenses.
