Sunbathing Woman Robbed and Drunken Driving: Police Reports

The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

What was supposed to be a relaxing day at the Solon Community Center pool turned out to be pretty stressful for one woman.

She told police that on June 17, while she was reclining by the pool, her purse was stolen. She didn't notice until she took the towel off her face that it was gone.

Inside the purse was $40 cash, an iPod Touch, Toyota car keys, debit/credit cards, her driver's license and medications.

Drunken driving

Also on June 17,  a 28-year-old Cleveland man was arrested for drunken driving after police pulled over his truck near the 422 east ext and u-turn at Harper and Bainbridge Roads.
The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, submitted to a breath test, blowing a .128, well over the legal limit of .08.
