Solon Woman's Credit Card Stolen, Used at Local Stores

Woman reports that her Discover card, which she hadn't used in a long time, was missing and that someone had purchased items with it in Solon, Bainbridge and Oakwood

A 48-year-old Solon resident hadn't used her Discover card in a long time, but figured it was safe in her wallet.

But a call from the company's fraud department because of unusual activity on her account made her realize something was amiss. She checked and her card was gone, according to a Solon police report.

According to police, the card was used over a three day period at a BP station in Solon, Marathan station in Oakwood and a Target and Walmart in Bainbridge.Β

Police have no suspects and the case is under investigation. The crime of credit card theft is a felony.
