Solon Woman's Checking Account Hacked for $7,500

Woman told her bank that she did not authorize two phone payments worth more than $7,500

It's never good when the bank calls to say your account has been overdrawn.

But a 53-year-old Solon woman got an even bigger rude awakening Feb.6 when Huntington Bank called to tell her that her account showed two phone payments totaling $7,670.87 had led to an overdraft.

Thing is, the woman never made those payments.

The woman reported the incident to Solon police, who say they have no suspects.
