Solon Woman Hit, Robbed at Gunpoint Outside Her Garage; Suspects At Large

Solon Police are looking for two men who robbed a Solon woman at gunpoint outside her garage in on Dec. 30.

The 57-year-old victim, who lives on Hamilton Court, was walking out of her garage at about 12:39 a.m. when she was chased down by two men. One of them had a handgun, according to police.

One attacker struck her in the head with the gun while the other man punched her until she released her purse.

The two men fled on foot, and may have climbed into a dark-colored SUV. Police believe the robbers may have used the woman's credit card at the True North station on Miles Road soon after the attack.

The suspects are described by police as black men. One is a heavyset man who was wearing an orange jacket and a blue-stocking hate. The other man is described as slender and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
