Solon Police Release Drunk Driving Checkpoint Results

Of the 959 cars that passed through the checkpoint Saturday night, police caught four drunk drivers and made arrests for other infractions

Solon Police conducted a Saturday night in Solon. Today, the police department released the results from the checkpoint, which last from 9:45 p.m. until 1 a.m. Sunday.

All told, 959 cars passed through the checkpoint Saturday, and 468 cars were checked by officers.

Police made 15 arrests and issued three citatons.

Here they are:

  • Four people were arrested for drunk driving. One of them was a 17-year-old.
  • Five drivers were arrested for driving while their license was suspended.
  • One person was arrested for driving without a license.
  • Two people were cited for open alcohol containers in their cars.
  • One person was cited for carrying a fake Illinois license.
  • One arrest was made for underage alcohol possession.
  • One person was arrested because of a felony warrant for them from the Geauga County Sheriff's Department.
