Solon Police Detain Two Illegal Immigrants During Drug Bust

arrested two men on charges of drug trafficking and detained two illegal immigrants at an apartment in Solon.

Arrested were Miguel Cordova and Kevin Fitzsimmons, both 18 and from Solon. They were charged with drug trafficking in the presence of juveniles, a third-degree felony.

The illegal immigrants, who were identified only as Mexican citizens, were detained and held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

On Sept. 28, Police went to an apartment on Hamilton Court after they received complaints of kids smoking weed.

According to the police report, officers noticed the smell of burnt marijuana coming from an open apartment door. Inside the apartment, officers found marijuana and individually wrapped marijuana cookies.

Two teenagers were in the apartment. They were both released to their families.
