Solon Home Burglarized: Thief Snuck In Through Back Door

A home on Hunters Ridge in Solon was burglarized during daylight hours on Feb. 18, according to Solon Police.

A 64-year-old homeowner reported the burglary, saying he returned home at about 7:28 p.m. Feb. 18 to find the sliding patio door in the back of the house was standing open and it was obvious that someone had been inside the house, according to a police report.

The man reported that a number of his collectible coins were missing. They had a face value of about $57.

Detectives found footprints and have searched the home. They are investigating.
