Runaway Teen From Georgia Found in Solon

The information in this report is from the Solon Police Department.

A 16-year-old girl who ran away from her home in Georgia was found in a parking lot in Solon.

On the morning of Nov. 30, received a tip that the runaway girl was sitting in a silver Buick in a parking lot of , a biochemical company on Cochran Road.

The girl originally gave police false information, but police were eventually able to confirm that she was the missing teen.

Police officers contacted the girl's mother and the DeKalb County Police Department's Sudden Victim's Unit, the agency that first reported the girl missing.

The girl was handed over to Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services, who were preparing to hand the girl over to her family.
