Road Rage: Man Punches Out Car Window on Aurora Road

The information in this report is from the Solon Police Department.

A 23-year-old Chagrin Falls man driving on Aurora Road told Solon Police that he was a victim of road rage.

He had a shattered driver's side window on his Hyundai Santa Fe to prove it.

The man told police that he was driving east on Aurora Road on Nov. 27 at about 1:40 p.m. when a Mitsubishi Eclipse pulled out in front of him and start and stop repeatedly on the road.

The man then told the police that the driver of the Eclipse stopped his car completely and got out. He walked back to the Hyundai and punched out the driver's side window, shattering it.

The men then got back in his car and drove off.

It's unclear what, if anything, provoked the man to punch the window.

No charges will be pressed because police don't know who the other driver is.

The Hyundai driver had a small cut on his nose from shattered glass, but was otherwise OK.
