Road Rage Leads Man and Woman to Physical Altercation, Spitting Fight

Woman charged with disorderly conduct after Solon Police collected witness statements about confrontation in Carter Street parking lot.

A roadway disagreement came to blows when a man and woman took their road rage into a Carter Street parking lot on Feb. 2, according to Solon police.

The fight led to the woman, a 25-year-old Sagamore Hills resident, being issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

According to police, a man was driving on Carter Street behind a slow-moving vehicle driven by a woman. The man passed the vehicle on the left, only to have the other driver begin flashing their headlights at the driver.Β

The man then slammed his brakes to get back at the woman out of frustration, he told police. The man pulled into the parking lot on Carter Street, and the woman followed.

According to the report, she got out of her car and began pounding on the man's window.Β

The man got out of his car. At that time, he said the woman punched him and spat on him. He then spat on her, according to police, and then entered the building to defuse the situation.

The woman told police that she pushed the man in the chest and only spit on him after he spit on her. Witness said that the woman punched the man.Β
