Police: Woman Steals Jewelry From Solon Home To Pay For Heroin

A 25-year-old Willoughby was charged with felony theft after she was accused of stealing jewelry from a Solon home to pay for her heroin habit, according to .
Arrested and charged was Jacquelin S. Pettit, 25, of Willoughby. Her theft charge is a fifth-degree felony.
According to police, Pettit was with a handyman who did some work at a Solon home on South Side Park Drive.

A 17-year-old resident of the home let the handyman and Pettit into the house to use the restroom. Police say that Pettit went upstairs and stole a jewelry box that contained gold jewelry.
Police investigated, and determined the handyman was unaware of the theft. He has not been charged.

Police were able to recover the jewelry at a pawnshop, and learned that she had pawned the jewelry to pay for heroin.
