The following information was supplied by the Solon police department. It does not indicate a conviction

A 30-year-old Bedford man was arrested and charged with felony theft after Solon police say he ran from Marc's with jewelry in his hands – and left his wife and three kids behind.

Charged in the May 31 theft was Michael Joseph Russe, 30, of Bedford. Marc's is located at 6231 Som Center Road.

According to the police report, a man and his family were browsing at Marc's jewelry counter when police say the man grabbed two gold necklaces worth about $2,257, ran from the store and drove off in the family car.

The store clerk told police that the wife looked surprised, and took her to the Pet Supplies Plus store next door to call for a ride home. She later told police she didn't know her husband, according to the report.

The man was arrested by police in Glenwillow. Besides the two necklaces, the man also had a white gold necklace worth more than $10,000 in his possession. Marc's said they are not sure if the necklace was from their store.
