Police: Man Fired Gun During Fight With Daughter, Her Boyfriend

The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Two shots rang out near Franklin Drive on Aug. 6 around 1:50 a.m. prompting a call to the Solon police.

Officers arrived to a house on the 32000 block of Franklin Drive and found that a 42-year-old Solon man had fired two rounds from a .45 caliber handgun in the air during a fight with his daughter's boyfriend.

The daughter, 18,  told police that she was punched in the face during the confrontation.

The father was charged with domestic violence and discharging a firearm.
