Police: Locked Out Drug Dealer Leads Cops to Stash

The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Some people really make things easy for police officers.

A man locked out of his car on June 21 called police for some help.Β

When an officer showed up to the 30000 block of Bainbridge Road and opened the car, he was hit with the smell of raw marijuana, finding 37 individually-wrapped bags of marijuana weighing 28.7 grams, according to police.

King Lawson, 34, of Richmond Heights, was charged with drug trafficking, a fourth-degree felony.

Police believed that because the substance was wrapped, Lawson was preparing to sell it. The officer found $426 in cash in the car also.
