Police: Drunken Driver Plows Into Parked Car, Doesn't Realize It

A Solon man was charged with drunken driving after he plowed into a parked car -- sending it flying 50-feet forward -- and then didn't realize his own car was damaged, according to Solon Police.

Brett Hoherz, 34, of Solon, was charged with drunken driving and failure to control after a crash in the early morning of Sept. 18, police say.

According to the police report, police arrived at the scene of a crash on Ada Drive to find a man standing near their smashed car and a passenger sitting inside with blood running down his face.

Police say the man was surprised when the officers pointed out the damage to his car.

The man's car hit a parked car, which then hit another car, according to the report.

Both Hoherz and the passenger, a 39-year-old Russell Township man, were transported to Hillcrest Hospital.

Hoherz was given a blood-alcohol test, with results still pending.
