Police: Drunken Driver Causes Head-On Collision, Injures Woman and Boy

A 34-year-old Solon man was arrested and charged with drunken driving after police say he caused a head-on collision that injured a woman and an 11-year-old boy.

Arrested and charged with drunken driving was Dino Rinaldi, 34, of Solon, according to a Solon Police report. He was also cited for improper passing.

On Jan. 4, police say Rinaldi was driving north on Harper Road and attempted to pass a car in front of him. Another car was driving south, and the two cars collided head-on, according to the report.

A 36-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy were transported to Ahuja Medical Center. The police report says that the woman's injuries were incapacitating, while the boy's injuries were not incapacitating.

Rinaldi refused a breathalyzer test, according to the report.
