Police Dog Tracks Down Fleeing Domestic Violence Suspect

Man who fled from a Park North residence was tracked down by Solon K-9 Stryker

A Oakwood man accused of domestic violence against his girlfriend fled out the back door of a Park North apartment when police arrived.

What he didn't count on was Stryker, the Solon police dog who sniffed him out Feb. 4 in woods just east of the Solar Shopping Center.

The man was charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business. According to the police report, the man was accused of throwing his girlfriend into a dresser and throwing a cell phone at her while she was on the ground.
