Here are some of the weirdest police reports and incidents from departments across the region.

Here are this week's most bizarre police calls, reports and charges. All information was provided by police reports from departments in Patch communities. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Officers first spotted Lawrence Seghetti II on Sunday evening while he was driving on Munson Road. When police signaled for Seghetti to stop, he parked his car and ran away, Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen said.

Officers chased him on foot to the Harbor Run complex. During the chase, an officer hurt his knee while trying to scale a fence.

When they reached the complex, Titan was called to the area to search for Seghetti but the dog did not smell him out.

The officers and police dog then searched the area around Meldon Drive, where Seghetti lives, but they did not find him.

Finally, at 4 a.m. Monday, police spotted Seghetti sneaking into his home.

With the permission of Seghetti's roommate, police entered the house.

Titan tracked Seghetti down to his bedroom but he would not come out, Allen said. Police then knocked in the door and Titan bit Seghetti on his arm and thigh.

Mentor Police charged Seghetti with a felony count of obstructing official business and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and driving under a suspended license.

Unwanted trash

A Strongsville man told police he is tired of his neighbor's garbage blowing into his yard.

On March 19, he said pornographic books blew onto his lawn and he asked police to document it.

The man told officers he is working with his councilman to solve the problem.

Airborne condiments

A Benbow Road resident reported that boys in a car threw condiments at her Strongsville residence about 4 p.m. March 22.

The incident actually caused damage when the kids threw a whole bottle of mystery sauce at the garage, cracking the siding.

Public Indecency

A man was cited March 9 for public indecency after Shaker Heights police said he was spotted urinating on a tree near the bus stop at Lee Road and Van Aken Boulevard.

Stranger found sleeping on porch

On March 13, a Woodmere Road woman woke up to an unfamiliar man sleeping in a chair on her enclosed front porch.

Cleveland Heights police arrested the man and charged him with criminal trespassing.
